Von Hartmann

Recently the BBI Staff reached out to Super-Teen Hot Rod artist Ryan "Von Hartmann" for a possible art collaboration. We went back and forth on ideas; in between the barrage of email firings, Von Hartmann shot us with images of his bicycle fetish. He's got some cool collectibles and a couple customs. We can't wait to show off the artwork he has in store for us! Dig the pics!

End of the road...

The end is here for the line of Pedal Scrapers die-cast toys by TwentySixInch custom bicycles. The line was shelved in 3300 Walmart stores throughout the World. Unfortunately, die-cast toy sales across the board didn't do so well this year. The toy company we teamed up with decided not produce anymore when Walmart didn't re-order. So, get yours while they're still lukewarm. (If you can find them) I found this last batch on the clearance rack at Walmart in Oakland. You might be able to find various Ebay vendors selling them. I suggest you rally the troops; storm into Walmarts world wide and snatch these babies off the shelves! Thanks for the support!!!

Strangers Car Show/BBQ 2007

On Sunday, July 15, 2007 the Behind Bars, Inc. crew hung out at the Strangers Car Show/BBQ at Kelly Park in San Jose, Ca. This is an annual event which brings out some of the coolest pre-'65 Hot Rods and Kustoms the Bay Area has to offer.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to shoot many photos, but I did run into some really cool people like, Photographer, Glen Mcdowell. Glen showcased his hot pin-ups out of his mobile art gallery/grocery getter/Biscayne wagon. We also ran into the "Best kids bike" winner from one our previous bicycle shows. She out grew her show winner and stepped up to a 24" Diamond Back cruiser. She wasted no time on this project and added mini apes and bullet headlight. It doesn't stop there... this youngster had a Tiki striped on her rear fender at the show! As soon as I get some photos from the show together, I'll be sure to post them.
